Why the CleanMeister
The CleanMeister offers the most effective and efficient method of cleaning the interior of a concrete mixer drum. Read below why.
The Problem
Normal usage of concrete mixers drums causes build-up of hardened concrete on the drums’ interior walls. Build-up concrete is not aften properly cleaned and removed from drums, resulting in the following problems:
Less Quantity of Concrete per Trip
Inconsistent Quality of Concrete
Concrete of consistent quality is extremely important, especially when used in load bearing structures. When build-up concrete debris is left behind in drums it may combine with the new ready-mix, thereby damaging its conditions & quality.
Old ways of cleaning drums
One of the traditional methods of cleaning concrete mixers involves manual labour. Workers enter the drums and use jack hammers to remove the build-up concrete along the drum interior. Another traditional way to remove the concrete is through daily flushing with plenty of water. These ways of approaching could lead to the following issues:
01.
Hard Labour & Time Consumption
Manual cleaning of a concrete mixer drum is arduous and time-consuming work. The average time for interior cleaning of a drum by labour. Incase of flushing, the drum needs to be cleaned daily and in hot weather circumstances, even more than once a day. Which means at least 1 hour of flushing every day.
02.
Damage & Waste
Jack hammering tools cause significant damage visible to the exterior of the drum. Besides, that, flushing at least once a day, costs a lot of water. Approximately 1000 liters per flush.
03.
Safety Hazard
In past years, many accidents have occurred globally by manual cleaning of concrete mixers. In Dubai, September 2017, a worker was killed whilst cleaning the inside of a drum when his co-worker accidentally switched on the mixer causing the drum to rotate.
Jack hammering of concrete causes the release of concrete dust which contains silica particles. Frequent inhaling of silica particles may result in a worker contracting silicosis, an incurable and deadly lung disease.
04.
Ineffective Results
Manual cleaning of a concrete mixer drum is not thorough and only partial results are achieved. Often, much of the concrete build-up is not removed and debris remains in the drum.
The Solution
We have developed the CleanMeister Compact & PowerPack to solve the problem. The CleanMeister is a Dutch-engineered system, specially created & designed to clean the interior of concrete mixer drums. lt uses a highly-sophisticated specialized hose, connected to a high-pressure water pump to blast away the concrete build-up in a drum in just a couple hours. The system is easy to operate through the machine’s manually controlled gearbox. The CleanMeister offers results incomparable to traditional cleaning methods.
Our decades of experience in industrial high-pressure clearing enabled us to build a powerful system that works under the most challenging circumstances. lt is based on proven technology, ensuring easy maintenance, high-reliability and low running costs. With the CleanMeister you will ensure delivery of the maximum quantity and highest quality concrete. Furthermore, this is the safest way to clean concrete mixers and is therefore also recommended by insurers.
